This action packed itinerary takes in the spectacular hidden city of Petra where we will be wowed by the huge Nabetan city as well as nearby Little Petra. The adventure continues as we will trek past natural pools and explore canyons on our way to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth. As well as trying out local delicacies we'll explore the ruins of Jerash, one of the largest and best preserved Roman sites in the world. The trip ends with a day and night in the breathtaking Wadi Rum desert where we'll enjoy an exhilarating 4WD drive and spend a night under star-blanketed skies, Lawrence of Arabia style!
What makes this trip responsible?
Aljoun Reserve is the subject of a large eco-tourism project that aims to conserve the southernmost complete pine forest in the world. Dana Nature Reserve's finances are supplemented by revenue generated from your visit and we have arranged a talk on their work during your stay. Visits from groups such as yours ensure the Bedouin of Wadi Rum earn vital income - this in turn helps keep their culture alive and reinforces its importance to the Bedouin themselves.
