- Snowy Tatra Mountains
- Skiing, snowshoeing, dog-sledding
- Forest and frozen waterfalls

The snow-clad mountains of the Tatras are the perfect place for an invigorating week of winter activities from the comfortable base of your mountain village pension. Try downhill skiing or snowboarding, (for beginners a lesson is included), and head into the forested Rohace Mountains for a day of snowshoeing.
We'll share a meal with a local Slovak family, visit the local open air museum, and relax in nearby thermal pools. For many the highlight will be dogsledding when we'll have the chance to handle our own sled pulled by a team of husky dogs. There's plenty of opportunities for more snowy fun - whizz downhill on a sled, try skiing under a starry sky and take aim in group snowball fights.
Please note: This trip has had a name change for 2013 season, the trip was formerly called: Slovakia Summer Adventure
What makes this trip responsible?
We stay in locally owned hotels and pensions, use resident leaders and guides and use locally owned transport; this helps distribute amongst a wide number of people the money we spend. Because our groups are small, it is easier to monitor and control the impact on the environment through the areas we travel.
