Reality Check
Weather can be potentially very hot, possibly in the 30's in the summer, but with the possibility of cold wet weather too.
This is a relaxed holiday but children should be happy in the outdoors and have a sense of adventure for the activities themselves.
Children must be able to swim to take part in the water-based activities.
Walking Conditions The trip is designed with families in mind and the paths walked are well graded and achievable by novice walkers of reasonable fitness. That said, some of the paths are rugged, uneven and in sections rocky.
Cycling Conditions The bikes are modern and well maintained with safety helmets provided. The tracks we cycle can be a combination of small roads or well-graded tracks, in some short sections there may be light local traffic.
We do not anticipate encountering any problems finding a correctly fitted bike for your child, but for very young children this unfortunately cannot always be guaranteed. If in the rare event equipment cannot be found or the planned cycling route is not suitable for your child then we will do our best to offer an alternative where it may be possible to join the group en route later in the day.
Normal group size and age
Normally 6 to 16, plus leader. Minimum age 5.
