Reality Check
This tour is operated in partnership with our sister company The Adventure Company (TAC), as such the group may be a mixture of Exodus and TAC clients. This trip is booked through Exodus and you will receive the same award winning customer service that you are used to. TAC operate with the same core principles used by Exodus and champion the benefits of small group travel.
No previous experience is required as the unsinkable canoes are easy to paddle, although a general level of fitness is recommended. Life vests are provided however we do also insist that you can swim.
Before the first day's trip a full briefing will be given on how to paddle the canoes. There will also be some gentle walking/cycling throughout the trip to explore villages and surrounding area. Please note that all of the activities can be opted out of. The minimum age of clients on this trip is 5 years old.
For canoeing there is a plentiful supply of life jackets designed for children and come with tightening straps for better fitting.
For cycling, so we are able to enjoy routes for children of different ages, we don't use child specific bikes but adult bikes which are available in child sizes. These are of a better quality than child specific models. For younger children less confident at cycling alternatives are drag along bikes attached to the back of an adult bike or a tandem.
Normal group size and age
Normally 10 to 16, plus leader. Minimum age 5.
