Accommodation

Kvitavatn Fjellstoge ** Lodge

The warm and welcoming Fjellstoge has the informal atmosphere of a mountain lodge. Meal arrangements include breakfast buffet, self-made packed lunch and self-service dinner. The main building has a lounge and a large dining room with spectacular views of Gausta.

Standard accommodation is in a separate building, 30 metres from the main lodge. We use 3/4-bunk rooms, and 2-bunk rooms (supplement payable), all with washbasin only: shower, sauna, toilets and drying-room are shared. In an adjacent building there are comfortable twin-bedded rooms with private facilities (supplement payable).

Reality Check

All active winter holidays involve some element of risk, from something as normal as slipping on icy pavements, to the possibility of injuries sustained as a result of the activities themselves. While we do all we can to minimize any dangers, participants must be prepared to accept some risk as part of the holiday.

This is an independent trip, meaning you decide how much or how little to do. There are plenty of tracks to choose from close to the accommodation whilst the more experienced can test their skills further afield.

Independent holiday - no group. Minimum age 6.

Cross-country skiing: will involve intensive instruction, and our groups are carefully graded to ensure participants have similar levels of experience.

Winter Activities: It's about seeking out alternative ways to have fun in unspoilt locations, you won't find standard skiing or snowboarding breaks here.
