Start Dijon.
Our hotel is a short taxi ride from the station, and we suggest that you arrive in time for dinner.
Day 2
Cycle to Beaune (Ride approx. 42km or 55km)
There is a fair amount of cycling today but it is worth spending some time after breakfast to see some of the highlights of Dijon before starting the ride. Leave mediaeval Dijon and pedal via Nuits St. Georges, the capital of the Cotes de Nuits vineyards, to Beaune. This fascinating old town is a great place to explore and eat with plenty of shops and restaurants.
Day 3
Free day in Beaune (Optional ride approx. 32km)
A day to relax and enjoy Beaune's many attractions or take an optional cycle ride. It is worth visiting the Hospice de Beaune museum, one of the finest examples of French 15th Century architecture.
Day 4
Cycle to Nolay (Ride approx. 30km or 41km)
Today's ride is through the heart of wine country past the villages of Pommard and Meursault and the 13th Century chateau at La Rocheport and on to the lovely old town of Nolay.
Day 5
Cycle to Chateauneuf en Auxois (Ride approx. 36km or 45km)

A day to relax or take an optional cycle ride. Chateauneuf is only two kilometres from the Burgundy canal. Our cycling loop will take us to some of the feeding lakes of the canal and some pretty and remote villages. If you decide to give the bike a break, you can explore the tiny streets and chateau in the mediaeval village.

The majority of the day follows the Burgundy canal past Velars-sur-Ouche and then on to Dijon to complete the circuit.
