Grade: 4 (Moderate/ Challenging) Routes vary from rambles across grassy pastures and plateaux on firm stony tracks to high ridge trails that wend their way towards the peaks. A large proportion of the walks follow parts of the famous GR10, the 700km footpath that leads from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean.
On some days there are different routes for Moderate and Challenging walkers, and on others the Challenging walk is a longer, tougher version of the same walk. The descriptions in the introduction to each day should help you choose which to do. This is a self-guided tour, as such there will be no group or tour leader and you are free to complete the walks at your own pace.
Normal group size and age
Self-guided. Station and point-to-point luggage transfers subject to at least 2 people travelling. Minimum age 12.
Route notes and maps provided.
Self-Guided trips are only available to cycling enthusiasts in Europe. These holidays are the perfect choice for those who like to travel independently and at your own pace, yet still benefit from our quality research, back-up and support. We'll arrange your accommodation, provide you with detailed maps and route notes, and transport your bags from one hotel to the next.
In order to provide a more accurate grading system, where a trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Moderate/Challenging. Occasionally, there are optional activities available en route, in this case the optional grade is indicated in brackets, for example Grade Challenging (climb Tough+). Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide only. In all cases you should refer to the respective holiday's Trip Notes for further details.
Exodus is always looking to improve our current itineraries and to offer something different. With many new trips this year, there is something unique and different to try every year.
Walking & Trekking: Trips are wholly trekking-focused or simply include a significant number of walking days during the itinerary.
