Reality Check
Cycling Conditions This trip is graded B/C, and is classified as a Road trip - please see the introductory pages of the Cycling Brochure for more important information on classification and grading.
Average 54km/day (longest ride 66km). There is no technical riding and the majority of the riding is on paved roads or dirt roads of fairly good condition. Most of the rides are undulating with some good downhill sections. There are occassional climbs, with some of them being steep.
As the trip is 90% vehicle-supported, there will nearly always be the option to enjoy the scenery from the bus. The leader will inform you in advance if the bus is not around for support. 60% of the cycling is on surfaced roads and on some of these routes there may be traffic. You will be advised of this in the daily briefing.
Although it is a moderate trip a good level of fitness is required and you should feel confident cycling for 8 days in sometimes humid conditions.
Normal group size and age

Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
In order to provide a more accurate cycle holiday grading system, where a cycling trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Moderate/Challenging. Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide to your cycling holiday only. In all cases you should refer to the Trip Notes for further details.
Cycling: Our cycling holidays come in all shapes and sizes; from gentle self-guided trips in the Veneto, to tackling the High Atlas in Morocco, or exploring the length of Vietnam.
Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
Culture: Let Exodus show you a different side to many of the world's greatest cultural attractions.
