Itinerary
Day 1
Fly to Bastia Poretta airport, then take a short transfer to Moriani Plage on the east coast. Here we stay in a nice hotel near the sea with a swimming pool. In the afternoon there will be a welcome meeting and the opportunity to build your bike or collect your local hire bike.
Day 2
Today's ride is a fantastic warm up along narrow roads through the magnificent and wild landscapes of the Castagniccia, dotted with centuries-old chestnut trees. Eventually we reach Venaco, where we'll spend the next three nights in a charming three star hotel with a swimming pool and spa.
Approx. cycling distance - 80km with 1872m ascent and 1671m descent.
Day 3
This morning we climb a col with magnificent views over the coastline before descending through the spectacular Inzecca Gorge to Ghisonaccia on the coast. Here we'll watch stage 1 of the Tour de France as the peloton make their way along the coast from Porto-Vecchio to Bastia. The excitement starts well before the riders arrive, with the passing of the promotional caravan. After enjoying this unforgettable experience, we climb uphill on an alternative beautiful mountain road back to the hotel in Venaco.

Day 4
Today stage 2 of the Tour takes the riders across the mountainous interior of Corsica from Bastia to Ajaccio. After a 30km ride we will arrive at the Col de la Serra (365m) to cheer the professionals as they whizz through Corsica's small hamlets and villages. After the peloton has passed we ride a very challenging 70km back to the hotel, including taking on the challenge of climbing the highest part of the stunning Inzecca Gorge.

Day 5
The Tour covers some of the most beautiful parts of the island today, on stage 3 from Ajaccio to Calvi along the west coast. We will make a very early start to pedal our way through Corsica's central region in order to reach the west coast via the wild and magnificent Col de Vergio, which is the highest col in the whole of Corsica (1477m). Finally, we end today's brilliant ride by descending to Porto to see the professionals pass by. We spend the night in a 3 star hotel in Porto.

Day 6
The Tour will have now left the island giving us an opportunity to follow in their footsteps by riding the second part of stage 3 of the Tour de France, along the West coast from Porto to Calvi. This undulating ride is one of the best on the island with very panoramic roads and spectacular views over the Mediterranean. It's worth taking a little longer than the pro's in order to take it all in! We stay in a two star hotel in Calvi.
Approx. cycling distance - 71km with 1284m ascent and 1298m descent.
Day 7
Our final day of cycling takes us along the Balagne's hilltops with splendid views over Île Rousse and its crystal-clear waters. We continue riding through the splendid Désert des Agriates before reaching the Nebbiu region via the charming little port of Saint Florent. The ride finishes in Lucciana where there will be time for a swim in the three star hotel's pool, before celebrating your cycling achievement that evening.

Day 8
Transfer to Bastia airport; fly to London.
