As a cycling fan you will have no doubt enthusiastically followed the Tour de France on television, but actually watching it live is incredible! Millions of fans line the route as the peloton races through France on its annual three week tour around this spectacular country.
The holiday atmosphere helps to make the whole experience almost as enjoyable as the cycling itself and 2013 is set to be a special celebration as it is the 100th edition of the race. This year the 'Grand Depart' is on the beautiful island of Corsica. Although it boasts spectacular cycling terrain, incredibly this is the first time that the Tour will visit the island.
During this unique week you'll have the opportunity to watch the action live on the roadside on all three Corsican stages, as well as riding many of the same roads yourself. The island is extremely mountainous making this a challenging trip, but one that gives a great insight into the impressive strength and stamina of the professionals.
Will Bradley Wiggins be able to repeat his incredible yellow jersey winning performance? Book early to find out as our special departures sell out very quickly every year.
