Cycling at the Krisuvik Hot Springs

Iceland is a destination unlike any other on earth, a country shaped by violent eruptions and remorseless glaciers. Few places can match the diversity and drama of cycling through its natural wonders.

The network of country roads provides an excellent framework for our journey, giving us access to some of the most impressive sites in the south of the country. Moreover in such a sparsely populated country there is little traffic, adding to the sense of glorious isolation.

Our undulating route gives a firsthand view of some of mother nature's most fearsome creations, including the infamous Eyafjallajokull Volcano, the colourful mountains of Landmannalaugar and the 25m high mass of thundering water known as the Skogafoss Waterfall. We contrast these towering sites with the rolling farmland of the interior and the vast plains of glacial silt along the coast.

The variety of landscapes and natural phenomena makes this an unforgettable week's ride.

What makes this trip responsible?

This tour has been designed to both operate in a way that minimises our impact on the environment that we visit and to maximise the benefit that our clients can have on the host community. We use a locally based operator and have established a long-term partnership, assisting with local staff training in all aspects of their jobs, thereby investing in the people to help improve their knowledge and future prospects.
