Located on the village square, Hotel Adler is one of the most comfortable we feature. The hotel is situated in the centre of Villabassa and is immediately adjacent to the race start point. The hotel will be packed with riders and supporters during the event itself and is likely to be buzzing and energetic. The hotel's facilities include an indoor pool, sauna, solarium and small fitness centre.
The well-known restaurant, run by head chef Helene Markart, appears in the Michelin Guide among others; the menu features a mixture of local and international cuisine. All bedrooms are spacious and have en suite facilities, minibar and TV. Various suite upgrades are available upon request.

Reality Check
This area of Italy is famous for its steep sided valleys, dramatic peaks and vast forests, luckily for us all filled with fantastic mountain bike trails.
Due to the tough nature of the race itself, the days prior to the trip will be tailored to hone your skills and fitness, but this trip is designed for riders who are already fit and competent riders, ideally with experience of alpine-style riding. Although daily distances don?t appear that long with an average of around 50km (30 miles), there will be a lot of cumulative climbing and you should be prepared for this. The trip is mainly unsupported and has been set-up so that we can ride directly from the door of the hotel on most days.
The trip is graded C/D and includes 4 guided rides and the race day itself. The trip will be 95% off-road with a mix of singletrack and vehicle width trails. Trails will be rocky in places and can be narrow/exposed on some sections. This trip is not suitable for beginners. Please see the introductory pages of the Cycling Brochure for more important information on classification and grading.
Normal group size and age

Icons explained
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together.
All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please
see our Solo Departures page.
In order to provide a more accurate cycle holiday grading system, where a cycling trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Challenging/Tough. Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide to your cycling holiday only. In all cases you should refer to the Trip Notes for further details.
Exodus is always looking to improve our current itineraries and to offer something different. With many new trips this year, there is something unique and different to try every year.
