All breakfast included.
Distances per day vary from 40km to 60km; there are options to make the days longer if required. There are no transfers to or from hotels on this trip: all the rides are designed to be door-to-door. Road conditions are usually good, but in places the tarmac will be pot-holed and the conditions not quite as good. We aim to use quiet roads where possible, but sometimes we need to pass busy sections in order to reach the quiet roads on the other side. On Day 2 we will be cycling through Athens, where traffic can be intense.
The main itinerary of this trip is classified Road Number of days cycling: 5, plus optional rides Activity Level: 2 (Moderate); optional ride on Day 7: 3 (Moderate/Challenging) Vehicle Support: 100% (with limited seats). The optional rides may be unsupported. Terrain and route: 80% tarmac, 20% dirt roads. The optional ride on day 7 is more challenging also due to time constraints.
Normal group size and age
Normally 8 to 16, plus cycling leader. Minimum age 16.
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.
In order to provide a more accurate cycle holiday grading system, where a cycling trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Moderate/Challenging. Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide to your cycling holiday only. In all cases you should refer to the Trip Notes for further details.
Cycling: Our cycling holidays come in all shapes and sizes; from gentle self-guided trips in the Veneto, to tackling the High Atlas in Morocco, or exploring the length of Vietnam.
Culture: Let Exodus show you a different side to many of the world's greatest cultural attractions.
