6 days cycling (including 4 circular rides), with luggage transfers but no vehicle support
80% quiet tarmac roads and 20% gravel tracks
Some undulating sections, but distances are short and the pace slow
7 nights in a variety of charming traditional 2 and 3 star hotels. All rooms have en suite facilities.
All breakfasts and 3 dinners included.
Activity Level: 3 (Moderate)
Average daily distance: 45km (28 miles)
Terrain and route: 80% tarmac and 20% gravel tracks. Routes follow mainly quiet backroads and paths through the national parks, with some undulating sections.
Vehicle Support: Your luggage will be transported from hotel to hotel and the leader will cycle with you but there will be no support vehicle during the riding so it is important that you are comfortable cycling these distances. The terrain is not challenging and we will have plenty of stops. The distances are all relatively short so we are able to enjoy the sites of this magnificent valley, classified a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We have four circular rides on this trip so if you did feel like missing a day in the saddle it is possible to take the day off and enjoy the lovely towns we will be staying in. If you are struggling during a ride and wish to return to the hotel the leader will be able to call for support to pick you up, this is most likely to be a taxi from the hotel and there maybe a charge for this.
Normal group size and age
Normally 6 to 16 plus leader. Minimum age 16.
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.
In order to provide a more accurate cycle holiday grading system, where a cycling trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Leisurely/Moderate. Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide to your cycling holiday only. In all cases you should refer to the Trip Notes for further details.
