Reality Check

This trip is classified road and suitable for beginners, but it does have some sections off-road. The riding is generally undemanding and on a mixture of quiet minor roads and dirt roads. As we are passing through rural communities the roads are quiet with very little traffic. There is one long but gradual climb on the first cycling day of the trip. No real riding experience required but you should be comfortable on a bike.

Grade: B Please see the introductory pages of the Cycling Holidays brochure or view the grading and trip classification page for more information.

There is a 2 km section on day 2 which is on a rough forestry road. On day 7 there is a 10 km section on a narrow path along a river which can be overgrown in summer and in parts requires getting off the bike and walking.

Normal group size and age

Normally 6 to 16, plus leader and driver. Minimum age 16.

Icons explained

Adult Group Holidays The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.

Moderate Most people who enjoy a weekend riding on either trails or roads at home will enjoy a B-grade trip. You need to be in good health and reasonably fit. Ideal for occasional cyclists, or as a more relaxed trip for fitter riders. B-grade off-road trips require no previous experience. Distances on road trips rarely exceed 70 kms (43 miles) per day.

Cycling Cycling: Our cycling holidays come in all shapes and sizes; from gentle self-guided trips in the Veneto, to tackling the High Atlas in Morocco, or exploring the length of Vietnam.

Wildlife Wildlife: Trips may be wholly wildlife focused, or contain an element of wildlife viewing within a less specific itinerary.
