- Visit the magnificent Mont Saint Michel
- Cycle along the beautiful Normandy coastline
- Visit famous World War II landing beaches

Normandy is a very special corner of France, both for its cultural and historical importance, but also for the fabulous countryside it offers for cycling.
This trip takes full advantage of both. Bayeux sets the perfect scene for the beginning of our ride, with its traditional town centre, striking gothic cathedral and of course the tapestry that made the town so famous.
We will use Bayeux as our base to explore the landing beaches that proved to be such an important turning point in World War II, with rides to the beaches of Juno, Arromanches, Gold and Omaha. Remnants of the battles will transport you back in time and give you a real sense of the enormity of events that took place here.
Our ride will then take us along the magical coastline of west Normandy, through quaint villages and undulating countryside to Avranches. From here we will visit the magnificent Mont Saint Michel - an architectural masterpiece and a centre of historical and religious importance.
This trip packs in so much that you cannot fail to be inspired by this fascinating land.
What makes this trip responsible?
We use local leaders who are committed to responsible tourism and helping to preserve the way of life in their area. Our local operator uses small family run hotels and restaurants which are staffed locally and the produce used is sourced from local markets and farms. The hotel and restaurant staff are always very welcoming and provide an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about the area you are visiting. Our local operator is also involved in the development of cycle networks in rural areas.
