Expedition Voyage Baffin Bay Experience

An exploration of the wildlife and culture of the Canadian Arctic coupled with the glaciers and icebergs of Greenland.

The islands visited during this expedition range from the largest in the Canadian Arctic - Baffin Island - through to the world's largest - Greenland. With such diversity found in both the landscape and culture among these two islands, this voyage is a unique and exciting Arctic adventure.

What makes this trip responsible?

We take extremely seriously our responsibility to minimise our impact on these pristine areas. Exodus is an Associate Member of the International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators (IAATO) and has agreed to abide by one of the tourism world's most conscientious codes of conduct. Our ship operators in Spitsbergen are also members of the Association of Arctic Expedition Cruise Operators (AECO), which covers operations in Spitsbergen.
However, perhaps the single most important thing any polar travel company can do, is educate their clients to travel sensitively and compassionately. Our expedition team on each ship takes this part of their role very seriously, and looks forward to explaining how everyone can play their part.

Day 2

lAong the coast of Baffin Island to Monumental Island.

Day 3

Visit to the town of Pangnirtung.

Day 4

Searching for Polar bears along the stretch of Baffin coast from Cape Mercy to Cape Dyer.

5 - 6

Crossing Baffin Bay to Greenland.

Day 7

Visit to the town of Uummannaq after sailing into spectacular Uummannaq Fjord.

Day 8

Ilulissat and Jacobshavn Icefjord.

Day 9

Visit the town of Qeqertarsuaq on the southern coast of Disko Island.

Day 10

Explore the fjord behind the town of Sisimiut before visiting the town in the afternoon.

Day 11

Disembark Kangerlussuawq (Sondre Stromfjord).
