The perfect introduction to touring by bike or simplyan alternative way to discover this intriguing country. This relaxed route discovers some of the best attractions that Cuba has to offer. Following country roads students will cycle around the lush Bay of Pigs, site of the failed US 1961 invasion attempt. Cienfuegos and Trinidad are both World Heritage cities and provide beautiful cobbled, colonial refuges far from the modern world and are great places to soak up the Cuban culture. Cycling through the tropical forest of Topes de Collantes National Park to the stunning lake at Hanabanilla reveals the natural splendour of this island. Your group will end the trip on an historical note learning about the revolutionary history of Che Guevara and Fidel Castro, visiting the mausoleum of the former before returning to the capital of the latter’s administration - enigmatic, charming Havana.
