Machu Picchu & The Amazon Rainforest

Tripcode: STP

Countries visited: Peru

Adventure Community Activity Discovery

Discover southern Peru's Inca ruins, highland scenery and lush rainforest

Andean ladies weaving in the town of Puno

Peru has been home to many civilisations, most notably the Incas, whose ancient cities and fortresses are still being discovered across this fascinating region. Our three-part itinerary includes the Moonstone Trek, a remote alternative to the busy Inca Trail with spectacular scenery and untouched Inca forts that will take you and your students to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, the best-preserved and most stunningly situated Inca ruin. Students will also explore the harsh landscapes of the high altiplano and the islands of Lake Titicaca and, in complete contrast, the dense jungles of the Amazon Rainforest.
