Attempt wonderful protected scrambling routes along the famous 'Iron Way' (via ferrata) in the spectacular Dolomites.

This is the perfect trip for those looking for a new mountain challenge. From the historic town of Cortina D'Ampezzo,we enjoy incredible views of the Dolomites' most majestic peaks, including Tofana, Cristallo and Sorapiss. This was the frontline of the struggle between Italy and Austria during the First World War when an extensive network of metal cables and rungs were built meaning that walkers can now reach high level terrain, which used to be restricted solely to climbers. We follow these classic Via Ferrata routes through tunnels and over high-level bridges, where your students will enjoy exploring the extensive fortifications from where troops defended their territory – the most famous being a walk around the magnificent Tre Cime de Lavaredo.
