What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Albert, this has to be about Albert our group leader. What a wonderful and kind person. He took me under his wing
when I was feeling wobbly. Not only did he encourage me, he organised our group so you hardly felt like
you'd been organised. Never ever did I feel pressurised or less than, with keeping up with the group. For the walking was admittedly more than I had allowed for. But what walking! I enjoyed every minute of it.
It was a memorable holiday for too many reasons to express here. Suffice to say, Exodus - you rock!
All those positive reviews were absolutely right. I am now considering walking in either Morocco
or the Dolomites, and won't consider using another company. Oh , a brilliant group of people too!

This trip really lived up to all expectations as mentioned in the notes and from previous participants. The weather was great, not too hot for the time of year. Christine was a great help throughout and worked really hard. Her knowledge and speaking the language was also of great help. It was a shame it all came to an end so quickly.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
There were quite a few, of note was The Walk of the Gods along the coast to Positano with stunning views. The trips to Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and Herculaneum were very interesting and well worth the time out. The accommodation was very adequate and comfortable the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. The cultural dining and entertainment was most palatable and amusing.
What did you think of your group leader?
Christine was very dedicated, enthusiastic and very knowledgable. She proved a great ambassador for Exodus. Always willing to mix with the group and ensure that we had a great time.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Do it, but do have some walking fitness and correct boots and clothing, some didn't on our trip and lost out because of it. You don't have to be super fit but there are some steep climbs and lots of steps down on parts of some of the walks.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
A really enjoyable trip, that was my 5th trip with Exodus and well worth it. Lots of good points.

Excellent mix of walking and sightseeing. I would not describe the walking as leisurely, as there was a lot ofmup and dosn, but that suited me perfectly and the pace was gentle for those not used to walking.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
i loved the visits to Pompeii and Herculaneum. The guide, Ettore, was knowledgeable, funny and knew the most interesting spots.
What did you think of your group leader?
Albert was charming - a considerate and experienced leader.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Plenty of very good food in the hotel, even for a vegetarian. the hotel staff were very helpful and the kitchen demonstrations of making pasta and pizza dishes and puddings were great fun.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
i would have liked to know what I was going to be charged for bar drinks, teas on returning from a walk and lunch on the first day. My bill was not correct (eg I was charged 9 euros for a bowl of soup) and the cost of teas in the afternoon was high.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Loads of high points. Pompeii is breathtaking, Herculaneum is fascinating, Ravello is ravishing, Positano is picture-postcard pretty, the crater walk round Vesuvius with the thunder and lightning rolling around us was spectacular, and the National Park walk featured a couple of magical locations.
What did you think of your group leader?
Barbara looked after us very well, she has a good knowledge of the area and obviously enjoys being there.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
We had great weather for walking - pleasant end-April temperatures and generally clear sunny days. Even though the holiday is graded Leisurely/Moderate, in hotter weather we might have been struggling a bit! There is a lot of downhill and of course as this is Amalfi there is a lot of steps, a walking pole was useful at times.
We paid the small incremental fees for local guides at Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius, this was well worth the extra cost.

Fantastic holiday Suzy was a brilliant guide always going the extra mile and making sure we were getting the most out of our holiday. The hotel was excellent, great food clean rooms and even being taken into the kitchen to see the food being cooked. My only complaint was the return flight times which meant leaving the hotel at 4 am. This spoiled the end of trip party as everyone went to bed early.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Our reason for going on this trip was to do the "walk of the gods" this lived up to and surpassed all our expectations. The other walks were excellent as well even the 3000 steps down to Amalfi!!
What did you think of your group leader?
First class highly recommended
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Take a travel kettle for morning and afternoon tea and flasks
Is there anything else you would like to add?
This was a great trip our fifth with Exodus we would certainly recommend it to others even with the flight times

Very good holiday, well organised from start to finish. The leader (Albert) was very good and the guides at Pompei, Vesuvious well worth the additional cost.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Walking round the crater of Vesuvious - don't miss it, or Herculanium, which is better preserved than Pompei.
What did you think of your group leader?
Excellent -Albert is very experienced and seemed to organise everything effortlessly - which I'm sure isn't the case ! Many thanks to him for making the holiday so good.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Be prepared for a lot of steps, mostly down. Taking one or two walking poles to ease the pressure on the knees is a good idea.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
This was our first walking hoilday with Exodus and we will be booking another - I've bought the new boots already !
