Organisation of the trip was excellent. All well catered for. Good mix of age groups and gender balance. Accommodation excellent. Food superb for a small family run hotel. Chef and team very willing to share their knowledge with the visitors in a very congenial way.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The Walk of the Gods - perfection! Pompeii - live today tomorrow may never come!
What did you think of your group leader?
Very good, very attentive and highly organised. Good information sessions on interesting places to visit and very good info. on what was coming up each day. Has good rapport with hotel managers and ensured menu and other areas were suitable for all. The pace of the first walk was perhaps a little too ambitious. A number of the walkers felt that if that was the pace for the other walks, during the week, that they had picked the wrong holiday. Though good keen walkers it was felt that that they hadn't walked at that pace in such heat for some time and that a gentler pace and a gentler breaking in on the first day might have been more appropriate.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
I understand this walking trip was advertised as 'leisurely and casual' - I was unaware of this so brought the usual boots and walking poles- others weren't properly equipped so felt at risk especially re. footwear and lack of walking poles. Though some of these were provided in certain instances.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Yes, your Rep. (Grainne) here in Ireland Abbey Travel was excellent. Went out of her way so many times to basically give an excellent service. I can't praise her enough.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Lots : Pompei, Vesuvius, Ravello, Capri, The Guided Walks (esp the Walk of the Gods)
What did you think of your group leader?
Group leader - excellent local knowledge; good delivery; good organisational skills; very useful information for making best use of free time.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Get fit, especially if doing walks in the hotter months. Insect repellant esp for dusk / overnight.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Very enjoyable; excellent holiday; would recommend side trips to Ravello (Villa Cimerone) and also Capri (esp walks around southwest of island and Villa Jovis - easily manageable in one day)

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The spectacular views from the coastal paths hanging precariously to the mountain sides paticularly on the 'Walk of the Gods' down to Positano were breathtaking. What was it, 1700 steps from the Church?
What did you think of your group leader?
Edwardo used his local knowledge to good effect and catered well for us all. He had to try and balance the needs of a mixed group with varying demands and coped well.
The guide in Pompeii and at Herculaneum was excellant and his passion for the history came through in his presentation.

Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
There are sections of the walk that are particularly dangerous and they should be aware of this. Very narrow ledges and in some cases no ledges at all on paths that are slippery and wet made it challenging.
Take walking poles and Gel for those aching muscles are essential.
Be flexible and enjoy.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This was my first walking holiday and at 61 I wondered if I would be able to keep up. But no worries, I was with a group of mixed ages that walked at varying speeds and managed well.
The daley in Pompeii (due to a staff meeting on site) meant a wait of 2 hours which then impacted on our arrival time at Vesuvius. By the time we got there the clouds had rolled in and the heavens emptied upon us. Having got to the top we had the disappopintment of not being able to look into the crater due to thick cloud cover.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
It's got to be The Walk of the Gods. Though it was winter, perfect blue sky and inspirational views of the coastline stretching ahead.
What did you think of your group leader?
Always went the extra mile to make things happen and didn't seem to have heard of the word 'no'. Very knowledgeable about the area, great company and arranged extra things such as a (non-compulsory!) cookery demonstration in the hotel kitchen a couple of times a week which I think we all found fun (hotel staff very friendly and helpful too).
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
I went in December and the dining room could be a little on the cool side. Also, though we needed anoraks at the start, we were down to t-shirts and vest on the coast in the sun. So, pack accordingly. My room had a hairdryer in it, but you might want to check this is so for all rooms.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I just wish I was still there and hope my next holiday will be as good.

Steve was an excellent leader taking care of people above and beyond the call of duty.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
I belive that Exodus could give accurate directions for those travellers making their own way. I felt very uneasy in Napels on my way & ensured that I would not be spending time there on my return. Coming from Ireland it is easier to make my own way.

Exodus always tries to give as much information as possible to land only clients, so they can reach the hotel as quickly as possible. It is difficult to confirm public transport connections in areas like Naples, thanks to their laid-back attitude. Therefore, we offer private transfers from the airport to help those who are unable to take the group transfer.

Could not fault her , Lovely personality- spent time with everyone- Non-judgmental. Excellent communication skills- very professional in her approach. Proud of her toursso she was sharing her love and knowledge.. Patient and encouraging. Lovely person to all

take walking shoes. make sure you have some level of fitness for going up
