TDG - WALKING TRAILS OF LAKE GARDA

Day 1: Fly to Verona; transfer to Nago.
Day 2: Visit Castle Penede with magnificent lake views; descend to Torbole and follow shore to Riva; free afternoon for self-guided walk to Bastione.
Day 3: Transfer to Malcesine; continue by boat to Garda and walk beside lake to walled village of Lazise.
Day 4: Visit the Botanical Gardens of Arco before walking on the slopes of Monte Biaina to Dro, with views of the Sarca valley.
Day 5: Free day for boat trip to Roman villa at Sirmione, or enjoy a day in magnificent Verona.
Day 6: Enjoy Riva before continuing to glacial Lago di Tenno; descend on foot via mediaeval villages of Canale and Tenno to dramatic Cascata del Varone waterfalls (100m).
Day 7: Board the spectacular Funivia (cable car) to reach the summit of Monte Baldo (1800m) for panoramic views over Lake Garda; gentle walk along summit ridge with time to explore the mediaeval town.
Day 8: To Verona; fly to London.
