Frequently Asked Questions
About Your Trip
What kind of luggage should I take?
There's really no restiction, whatever feels comfortable for you. Whether that's a wheelie case or a rucksack, you won't be carrying it too far so don't worry!

What's the food like at the farmhouse?
Put simply - fantastic! You start the day with a continental buffet-style breakfast in the morning, with local fruit and yoghurt. Packed lunches are provided for any day walks, usually filled with cheese/cold meats. On some days it is possible to eat Tapas lunches together as a group instead. The evening meal is the main meal of the day and will be local Spanish cuisine. All food is freshly prepared from locally grown seasonal produce. Water / Wine and tea / coffee are provided with the evening meal. A selection of soft and alcoholic drinks is available at the bar (payable locally). Vegetarians are generally well catered for at the Cortijo Rosario. Please let us know if you have any particular requests.

special dietary requirements.
Can I have a single room at the Cortijo?
There is only one single room available, which can be guaranteed with the supplement of £80 payable in advance on booking. Lots of people ask about this but we must advise that the farmhouse is relatively small, and rooms are very limited. The one single is sold on a first come, first served basis.
We may be able to confirm another single room closer to departure, which will be £100 for a twin room as single occupancy, but this cannot be guaranteed. Please contact our Customer Operations (myself specifically) to check if this is available NO MORE than two weeks before departure!

Is it possible to have a day off during the holiday?
Yes, this trip is centre based so if you would prefer to take off any of the days, you're free to do your own thing. Obviously we hope you'll take advantage of all that is on offer, but it's still a holiday, not a forced march!
Brendan Phelan - Customer Operations
Do I need to take walking poles?
If you are used to walking with poles then you can take them with you. They are not essential though and the walk is manageable without them. It is personal preference but do remember to pack them as part of your main luggage to be stowed in the hold.

I want to visit the Alhambra palace in Granada - easy to arrange?
If you wish to visit Alhambra Palace, we definitely recommend you reserve a ticket in advance due to high demand and long queues. Tickets can be purchased via their website - http://www.alhambrapatronato.es
