Superb walking in the shadow of the majestic Marmolada

Val di Fassa lies between Marmolada (3343m), the Dolomites' highest peak, and Catinaccio (2981m), the famous long ridge that glows red in the setting sun. Based near the lively town of Moena, locally known as the gateway to the Dolomites, we are ideally situated to access neighbouring valleys and discover their attractive villages.
We walk through lush green valleys carpeted with a profusion of alpine flowers, and are constantly rewarded with panoramic views of jagged limestone spires towering above. With excellent chairlift and bus links, we are able to access a huge variety of walks, thus allowing us to offer two grades of walking on each departure.
In peaceful Soraga we enjoy the friendly atmosphere of a comfortable family-run Tyrolean hotel, which is locally renowned for its award-winning gourmet cuisine.
For the departure on the 15th September, rooms booked after the 15th May 2012 may be in a different building a short walk from the main hotel. The group will have all meals in the main hotel as usual
What makes this trip responsible?
Our hotel in Soraga is the friendly family-run Hotel Arnica. Marco and Silvia have been our hosts for many years and are very attached to running their hotel in a responsible way. They have chosen to use a renewable source of energy to supply the hotel and the wellness centre with heating and hot water, using a wood pellet boiler. Marco, who has renovated most of the hotel himself, is also the chef at the hotel's restaurant and sources most of the products locally to create his fantastic recipes, mixing international influences and regional traditions.
