Walking On The Greek Islands

If you are used to walking with poles then you can take them with you. They are not essential though and the walk is manageable without them. It is personal preference but do remember to pack them as part of your main luggage to be stowed in the hold.

The Greek Islands have much more to offer than most would think: archaeological treasures, history, culture, dramatic landscapes, coastline, beaches and of course delicious food. Our week starts in the ancient city of Athens, capital of Greece and home to such wonders as the Acropolis, before heading towards the beautiful islands of Naxos, Santorini and Paros. Cultural centre of ancient Greece, Naxos is a mountainous island (Mt Zas is the highest peak in the Cyclades) where we will discover picturesque villages, lush valleys and sandy beaches.
Exploring the irresistible island of Santorini on foot will certainly be the highlight of our week. The amazing caldera, the famous sunsets and the whitewashed villages await us. Our final destination is the friendly island of Paros, here we will explore charming villages and architectural wonders.
