Walking In Crete

Day 1
Fly to Heraklion; transfer to our hotel in Omalos.

Day 2 - 7
During the week we enjoy 5 daywalks and one free day. Our walks will include the plateau of Omalos to Xyloscalo, Agia Irene's gorge all the way to the coast of the Libyan sea, the ascent of Mt Gingilos (2000m) from where we can enjoy beautiful views of the North and the South coast of the island and the White Mountains range, Sougia village and the ancient site of Lissos. The highlight of the week is certainly Samaria gorge, the deepest gorge in Europe and arguably one of the most beautiful. This walk takes us all the way to the coast from where we head to the hotel by boat and bus. All walks will be between 5 and 7hrs (including lunch break).
On the free day, we can enjoy various optional excursions or simply relax at the hotel.

Day 8
Transfer to Heraklion airport; fly to London.
