Superb daywalks in the rich and charming scenery of the Dorgali region of Sardinia
Often referred to as the 'land of silence', Sardinia is a place of outstanding natural beauty, with crystal-clear rivers, limestone ridges and deep gorges. As well as stunning beaches, the Dorgali area attracts archeologists from all over the world because of its historical interest. During our varied walks through the heart of the region, we will pass many monuments from the times of the Nuraghi peoples, one of the main Mediterranean prehistoric civilisations. Some walks are possible from the hotel door, and on other days we will use private or public transport to take us to the trailhead, to explore the ridges, valleys, gorges and peaks of this fascinating area.
| Day 1 | Fly to Olbia; transfer to Dorgali. |
| Day 2 | Introductory walk around Monte Tului with superb views across Gulf of Orosei and Supramonte. |
| Day 3 | Explore Nuraghic village of Serra Orrios, with its complex circular huts dating back to the Bronze Age; free afternoon to visit Dorgali's archaeological museum. |
| Day 4 | Visit Gorroppu Gorge, Italy's deepest natural canyon with breathtaking views; free time to swim in clear pools of Flumineddu River (seasonal). |
| Day 5 | Free day to explore Dorgali, try horse-riding or simply relax and enjoy the leisurely Sardinian lifestyle. |
| Day 6 | Enjoy leisurely day at the springs of Su Cologone. Alternatively, we enjoy a wonderful walk around Tiscali village, built inside a cave in Monte Corrasi. |
| Day 7 | Explore the caves and cliffs of on our walk to the tranquil beach of Cala Luna; free afternoon for snorkelling, relax on the beach or walk through forests up to the beautiful canyon. |
| Day 8 | To Olbia; fly to London. |
