What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Crossing the top of the pass on third day- from campsite two the steep path looked impossible.
What did you think of your group leader?
Hassan had a good sense of humour, good communicator and excellent leaders. Fast walker!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Weather in July 45' C in Marrakesh and putting socks and boots on hot feet at 40'C an experience. Weather soon became plessant- just chilly for summit. Some short showers in afternoon.
Walking was hard -sections of path at higher levels rough. The 5 hour day and optional aclimitisation extra hike met varied abilities and needs. No altitude sickness issues in our group.
Make sure you use handwash- hand bowl washes not really promoted. Some tummy issues! No real washing facilities for first three nights- don't expect bowls at you tent or mugs of tea!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Unlike other EXodus trips some days toilet facilities character building. Enjoyable butsome walking hard-especially in the heat!
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Climbing Mt Ouanakrim the day after summiting Mt Toubkal - the climb was great fun (particularly the exhilarating scramble near the top) and the view absolutely breathtaking with such serenity being the only group at the top. Trully inspiring!
What did you think of your group leader?
The guide and the back muleteer made the trip as fabulous as it was... such lovely people with a brilliant sense of humour and a brilliant knowledge of the area and it's people.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Do the optional walks! They make the trip what it is and give you even more stunning view of the High Atlas.
Be wary of going during Ramadan as it may not make the trip as great as it could be (you'll also feel really bad for the guide and muleteers).
And lastly, embrace the sugar... Moroccans love sugar and you are never short of a sugar fix on this trip.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
The food is delicious - the best I had in my entire 3 weeks travelling around Morocco!

We've now been back from Morocco for some time, so it's about time I contacted you again to thank you and your team for organising what was, I believe, a most successful adventure. All the Chetwynde School Sixth Formers, and Gill and I, loved it.Mohamed and Abdullah, the local mountain guides, were great andinspired the group with confidence. I must also mention the cooking staff who did a brilliant job at all altitudes! Please see below for the comments on our wonderful group leader Rich Astridge. Again, thank you.Andy
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Reaching the summit of Mt Toubkal, I don't think any of us had climbed anything like as high as this.
What did you think of your group leader?
I wish to compliment Rich Astridge, our Principal Tour Leader, on the excellent job that he did for the group. Rich is a great advert for Exodus. He is clearly a most experienced and talented leader, who was modest about his achievements and engaging with his anecdotes.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
It's very hot in July, up to 50 C when we were there, but we all survived. Make sure you wear some headgear, however dodgy. Anything from stylish Berber wrap arounds to upside down shorts will apparently do!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
If anybody found a Cropredy Fairport Convention bush hat at Toukbkal base camp, you can keep it, and if you can prove that you found it there, contact me (Andy Taylor) and I'll buy you a drink at Cropredy August 2013!

A really breathtaking landscape with that wonderful Exodus combination of good company, great food and plenty of fresh air and exercise.
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The marriage proposal at the top of Mt Toubkal was a really wonderful climax to a great climb.
What did you think of your group leader?
The leader was a genuinely nice guy who wanted everyone in the group to enjoy getting to know Berber life. He worked hard to ensure that everyone had a good time, although his goat like fitness & energy left some of us shame-faced!
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
This was my first trip with Exodus for about 12 years and I had worried about whether I would be up to the trip. Although the pace was demanding at times (many of us later confessed to doubts after the first two extremely hot hours!) I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone with a reasonable level of fitness. Being alcohol free, eating very healthily and walking every day was a great detox from ordinary life and I would defy anyone not to enjoy the experience.
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Beautiful country, great challenging walks.
What did you think of your group leader?
Great group leader. Inclusive of all abilities. Very good English.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Compede!!!
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Make sure you have enough money for bottled water. Water not provided.

This trip has restored my faith in humanity: 17 or so strangers can come together with one common interest and form a bond so quickly, that a community spirit springs up and we as a group confront our individual fears and challenges and strive together to achieve our one goal. Quite superb!
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The solitude and tranquility at the summit of Toubkal (once I had shut up) was so far removed from the normal day to day grind with only the sound of a bumble bee flying past breaking the silence. Looking down on the surrounding snow capped mountain range felt like the view from an aeroplane - breathtaking.
What did you think of your group leader?
Hassan, I cannot write highly enough about you, words fail me. You have been truly inspirational, with an incredible wealth and abundance of knowledge both about the surroundings we found ourselves in and culturally. You are educated, sensible, so wise for your years and above all so humourous. Your banter was unbelievable and your understanding of the wit that encompassed you by the minute was plain for all to see.
We debated some sensitive issues about our differences and you offered both sympathy and empathy. I hope our friendship lasts beyond this trip. It has been both a pleasure and a privelege to have gotten to know you and I feel both humble and fortunate that you were our Guide.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Mainly to have Hassan as your Guide, to eat what is offered, to keep hydrated and to barter in the City with every Tom, Dick or Mohammed that you face up to! Never have I encountered a group of people so on the take, whether wishing to spend a penny (dirham) or just asking for directions those palms are outstretched in your direction - you have been warned...
Is there anything else you would like to add?
This trip has changed my views on life and what is really important is certainly not materialistic. Spending a week in these villages with the locals and their children and the Muleteers has shocked me and made me reevaluate what is really important. I cannot stress highly enough what an adventure and an experience this has been and the mark it has left on me. I hope the new friends I have made will be friends for life and I look forward to some of us meeting up again on another similar excursion.

Booked last minute, having never been with Exodus before. Overall an excellent trip!
What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Summit day!
What did you think of your group leader?
Yahya was an excellent, knowledgeable (about local culture, villages, and mountaineering) guide. Very friendly, and someone I'll stay in touch with.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Mt Toubkal is an excellent choice for destination- really enjoyed my trip. Exodus were well organised, and yet didn't overcomplicate or dictate the trip too much. The UK team helped me out a great deal with my lastminute booking.
