Yes,  this trip is centre based so if you would prefer to take off any of the days, you're free to do your own thing. Obviously we hope you'll take advantage of all that is on offer, but it's still a holiday, not a forced march!

We stay in the comfortable family run Hotel Los Berchules, set in a spectacular location overlooking the mountains and valleys of the Sierra Nevada. All twin rooms have balconies, with tables and chairs and wonderful views as far as the sea on a clear day and all rooms are en-suite.
In the hot summer months you can relax by the hotel’s outdoor swimming pool or in the spacious café-bar where there is a large woodburning fireplace for the colder months. The hotel gardens are well stocked with many interesting flowers and shrubs, tomato plants and a small almond grove.

If you are used to walking with poles then you can take them with you. They are not essential though and the walk is manageable without them. It is personal preference but do remember to pack them as part of your main luggage to be stowed in the hold.
