Itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Malaga; transfer to Berchules.
Day 2: Circular walk from hotel along impressive stone-laid mule path with panoramic views of the region.
Day 3: Descend into Guadalfeo Valley to market town of Cadiar; climb through maquis to Juviles, the site of a Muslim tenth century castle.
Day 4: Free day to visit magnificent Alhambra Palace in Granada or relax in rural Berchules.
Day 5: Scenic walk from white village of Trevelez, (highest village in Spain at 1500m); return through working cortijos to see how the traditional way of life continues.
Day 6: Walk along Roman paths through La Taha to explore collection of Moorish villages hidden in a deep gorge.
Day 7: Journey through verdant flower-filled gullies to Nieles, passing almost hidden village of Castaras for our final lunch.
Day 8: To Malaga; fly London.
