This is the second time I have done this trip as I love the island and its diversity and more than that I love the Exodus trekking holiday.  The accommodation is in 3 locations all entirely different and with a strong Majorcan flavour to each.  Food traditional, interesting and varied.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The views are amazing.  Coastlines, blue skies, wonderful coves and beaches, mountains at each and every turn, all diverse and never boring vistas.  The trekking at C grade is manageable and the guide we had produced the most amazing picnics enjoyed during the trek in beautiful outdoor places.
What did you think of your group leader?
Eduard, having met him twice now, is so helpful, kind and encouraging.  No-one is left behind on the trek, the pace is just right.  He is friendly, professional and keen to ensure all the party enjoyed themselves.  Excellent leader.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Go........if you enjoy a slightly tropical environment with excellent walking and great views and certainly travel to the island from the UK is easy with only a short transfer from the airport.  Take a small extra bag in your luggage for the overnight stop at Balix Farm.
Is there anything else you would like to add?
Superb all round trip - the only Exodus trip I have been on twice and would definitely go yet another time!!

The walking and scenary in Majorca was fantastic, not maybe your first thought for a trekking holiday but having been on a few trekking holidays in the Alps it was well worth a trip here.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

Not sure there was one, but just the variation in scenary from the mountains, the coastal walks and views and the quaint mountain villages. A night in a tradtional Majorcan farmhouse was definately memorable. The fresh orange juice and the picnics again things to rmemeber and recommend.

What did you think of your group leader?
The leader was amazing. Very passionate and knowledgeable about all things Majorca. It was the first trip I had been on where the leader had been a local and their knowledge and love of the area was certainly something that set him apart from the others.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Yes check what grade the walking is and assess your abilities. I enjoyed the holiday and the people on the trip but most of them were surprised that it was a C grade walk and were not really prepared for the level of fitmess etc needed.

An excellent trip - nice mixture of seaside and mountains - walking not too difficult.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
Missing the tram in Soller by 30 seconds on day 2 - the guide did a wonderful switch to "Plan B" to get us to the start of the walk!
What did you think of your group leader?

Mallorca was a complete revelation. I had not expected anywhere that peaceful or green.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?

When I arrived in Puerto Soller, I sat on my hotel room balcony, to the right was the beautiful bay, and in front was the mountains. We spent the whole week with views like that.

The picnics during the walks were another real highlight. I don't eat bread so picnic lunches are usually a trial. Not here. Eduardo would supply the traditional mediterranean food, so there was plenty of fruit, vegetables, local cheeses, chorizo, sobrassada, nuts, olives, pate..

What did you think of your group leader?
Eduardo really loved the mountains and had a passion for the walking that was infectious. My only small criticism would be that his english was sometimes difficult for me to understand. He was very helpful when I wanted to miss one of the walks and explore the town of Soller.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?

Don't be put off by Majorca's reputation.

Make sure you take the time to explore both Soller and Puerto Soller, they are both worth the time to explore.

If going in the autumn/winter take extra rain protection like over capes. Even heavy duty rainjackets were difficult to dry out.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

I would like to have reordered the trip and stayed at Lluc monastery during the week not the weekend. At the weekend it was very crowded and touristy, with motorcycles on the roads. Luckily we were in the mountains much of the time, but Lluc during the week and Balitx at the weekend would have worked better for me.

What was the most inspirational moment of your trip?
The gorgeous setting of the Baltix farm house with many vultures soaring overhead. We could have stayed there forever.
What did you think of your group leader?
Eduard was a superb leader, second to none! He was born and bred on the island and has intimate knowledge of its history and ecology. He is very passionate about his native land and is keen to preserve it. His outdoor skills are first class. He is a very caring and humerous person and was great company for the week.
Do you have any advice for potential travellers?
Be aware it can rain! Take good waterproofs!
Is there anything else you would like to add?

We had a great week and would heartily recomend the trip.
