- Spectacular varied scenery over four islands
- Visit UNESCO vineyards, volcanoes and hot springs
- Walk to Cete Cidades and the Fire Lakes

Be it pocked with steep craters, a haven for wildlife or a place of historic interest, the lush green archipelago of the Azores is unquestionably a walker's paradise.
With the knowledge and enthusiasm from our expert local guides we see the very best of these beautiful islands, taking us on varied walks through UNESCO vineyards, lava plateaux (or 'fajas') and sunken volcanoes.
Throughout the week we base ourselves in two luxurious hotels allowing us to travel light during the day and at the end of each walk return for a well-earned drink or a refreshing dip in the pool. On the free day there is even the option of heading out to sea on a whale watching excursion.
Returning to Sao Miguel the week culminates with a trek round the stunning Lagoa do Fogo and Lago Cete Cidades followed by a farewell dinner; the perfect finale to this beautiful frontier in the middle of the Atlantic.
What makes this trip responsible?
Both companies used for our whale and dolphin watching tours respect the animals during times of feeding or resting by maintaining a distance and avoiding any interference. We use a small family-run company in Ponta Delgada who use small boats and in Horta the company plants a tree every time they go to sea to help reduce the carbon impact. Our hotels source as much local food as possible and conserve energy where possible. Leaders are employed locally and are very conscious of environmental concerns so they ensure clients follow them in the best practices to reduce our footprint.
