- 3-4 days and 1 half day centre-based walking
- Chance to kayak over a sunken city
Our accommodation in Kas is the Oreo hotel, a short walk from the town centre. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, with recently refurbished en suite facilities, air conditioning and a balcony. The hotel has a restaurant and an outdoor pool.
All breakfasts included.
Grade: 2 (Leisurely/ Moderate) Kas is a lively town in the summer; out of season it can be quiet but is never deserted, as the town is not entirely dependent on tourism. Temperatures in the high summer (July and August) are normally well over 30°C and sometimes into the 40s.
The itinerary on this trip remains flexible, to allow you to do as much or as little as you like. For the daywalks, expect to walk for up to 4 hours, plus rest stops.
Please note that although the walks run on established paths, they can be rocky underfoot with some exposed areas (no guard rails), so you will need to be steady on your feet. All in all this is a relaxing but active break where there is something to suit all tastes - stunning walks, impressive historical sites, excellent food, long sandy beaches and numerous optional activities including diving and paragliding.
Normal group size and age
Normally 5 to 16, plus local leader. Minimum age 16.
The vast majority of Exodus adventures are adult group holidays. Groups are always small in size. We strongly believe that this adherence to small groups means a better experience for all; more time with your guide, less waiting around and a reduced impact on the communities and environments visited.
Each group is generally made up of like-minded travellers - with singles, couples and friends all joining in together. All these trips are suitable for single travellers, but if you prefer to travel with clients booking individually, please see our Solo Departures page.
In order to provide a more accurate grading system, where a trip falls between two grades we use an intermediate or split grade, for example Leisurely/Moderate. Occasionally, there are optional activities available en route, in this case the optional grade is indicated in brackets, for example Grade Challenging (climb Tough+). Clearly, conditions may differ from region-to-region or month-to-month and as such the information given on these pages is designed to act as a guide only. In all cases you should refer to the respective holiday's Trip Notes for further details.
Exodus is always looking to improve our current itineraries and to offer something different. With many new trips this year, there is something unique and different to try every year.
Walking & Trekking: Trips are wholly trekking-focused or simply include a significant number of walking days during the itinerary.
