Explore the intricate topography, glistening mountain lakes and compact valleys in this little visited mountain wilderness.

Southern Turkey is perhaps not the first place that springs to mind when considering your next trekking destination. However, the Taurus Mountains form a chain that runs parallel to the Mediterranean coast from Lake Egridir in the west to the upper reaches of the Euphrates River in the East.
The area offers a walking wonderland for trekkers who can enjoy the jagged limestone peaks on the northern flanks of the mountains to the pine, cedar, oak and juniper clad reaches to the south. The scenery is both unexpected and breathtaking.
Snowcapped in the winter its far corners become accessible over the summer with nomadic tribes seeking out the high lakes and pastures to graze their goats and sheep.

What makes this trip responsible?
Walking is a fantastic way of experiencing an area while minimising your impact on the environment, our small group numbers also assist in limiting our negative impact on the area. Our local operator takes an active role in responsible tourism and twice a year they organise a group of volunteers to collect rubbish from the mountains. They also support a local school in Demirkazik village where they have donated computers, painted the building and planted cherry trees.
