Idyllic coastal and mountain walking in one of Europe's most beautiful destinations

With a coastline of 1778km and 1185 offshore islands in the Adriatic, Croatia has some of the most beautiful beaches and scenery in the Mediterranean.
Arriving in Dubrovnik will give a relaxing, cultural feel to the beginning of our itinerary, allowing us to explore the old city and soak in the views, before we start our explorations on foot. We will wind our way north through the island of Brac and the mountainous edge of the mainland. Our journey will take us up into Northern Dalmatia where the national parks of Paklenica and Krka offer a walking wilderness like no other. A rewarding bathe in the famous waterfalls of Krka sum up the perfect balance of this trip between walking and relaxation.
In addition to the scenery and fantastic trails there will also be the opportunity to spot four species of eagle (Golden, Imperial, Grey and Snake) and many other species of birds, so come armed with your binoculars. It is hard to imagine a region where you can experience such diverse scenery during a week of walking.
This trip is designed to champion the very best of Croatia, giving you time to enjoy the coastal regions and islands, the beautiful towns and near-perfect national parks.
What makes this trip responsible?
We use local leaders who are committed to responsible tourism and helping to preserve the way of life in their area. Our leaders have recently taken part in our leader training which also highlights the importance of operating our tours in a responsible way. Our local operator uses small family run hotels and restaurants which are all staffed locally and the produce used is sourced from local markets and farms. The hotel and restaurant staff are always very welcoming and provide an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about the local culture, customs and cuisine.
