Itinerary

TVJ - SLOVENIA: JULIAN ALPS TRAVERSE
Day 1
Fly to Ljubljana; transfer to lakeside town of Bled.
Day 2
Warm-up walk in the Karavanke Mountains.
Day 3
Transfer to Lake Bohinj; gondola ascent to 1535m then trek along ridge overlooking lake to Komna Hut (1520m).
Day 4
Walk through the beautiful, winding valley of the Seven Triglav Lakes, heading towards the more rocky terrain of Hribarice.
Day 5
Excellent trekking through the heart of the Julian Alps to reach Triglav Dom, the highest hut in Slovenia; time for Triglav ascent if conditions allow.
Day 6
Normal ascent day for Triglav (optional); after ascent we turn south towards the Vodnikov Hut (1817m).
Day 7
Final day trekking east along ridge towards the peak of Debela Pec (2014m), famous for outstanding views of Triglav. Descend to roadhead and transfer back to Bled.
Day 8
Fly to London.
