start a cheese diet before going to the walk, because you will have to eat a lot of cheese for the 7 days, to the extent that cheese will be coming out of your ears... Cheese in the breakfast, cheese at lunch, cheese at the break and cheese in dinner..
The midges also exist here, beware of the Alpen midges. It still hurts (I was there a month ago)
There is no shower in the hut at the first day, but can release the steam out of you feet by spending few minutes in the small creek nearby.
The toilet facilities are very limited in the huts, therefore strongly suggest either to wake up a little early than the breakfast time in the morning, or spare some breakfast time for that process. otherwise you may queu for 15-20 minutes.
When Carey, the leader, briefs every morning for that day's route, right down the names of the places you will be walking through, as the signs are not that frequent and clear, on some parts of the GR5 route. This is especially important if you have a tendency to stay behing and/or ahead of the group.
Last but not least, never mind the earplugs... they dont work... instead get too tired and you won't hear a thing..
