A fantastic week's walking in the best of the Pyrenees including two nights in a mountain hut in the Neouvielle lake district
This exciting itinerary explores some classic and varied Pyrenean landscapes. We begin in the green valleys and rugged peaks of the Luchonnaise. Our base is La Feniere, a rustic mountain lodge in the heart of the best walking territory: from here we take two daywalks in the shadow of Pico Aneto (the range's highest peak), and there is a free day to enjoy Luchon's famous thermal baths. This is followed by a short drive west to the the untoched gem of the Pyrenees that is the Neouvielle Natural Reserve. This high mountain plateau is sprinkled with glaciated lakes, making the walking incredibly scenic, but relatively undemanding.
| Day 1 | Fly to Toulouse; transfer to Luchon. |

Warm-up daywalks in Luchon area. |
| Day 4 | Drive to Lac d'Oredon, and trek north over cols and past lakes to the Campana de Cloutou Refuge in a beautiful lakeside location. |
| Day 5 | Trek west and south passing more strings of lakes towards Lac d'Aubert, and back to Lac d'Oredon for a night in the Chalet de Lac d'Oredon. |
| Day 6 | Transfer back to Luchon; the rest of the day is free. |
| Day 7 | Finish the week with one of the classic walks of the Luchonnaise. |
| Day 8 | Transfer to Toulouse; fly to London. |
