Superb walking in Italy's most spectacular mountain range

The week is based at Hotel Adler, a lovely 4-star hotel with wellbeing centre and indoor swimming pool in the small village of Villabassa, just north of Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Nestled close to the Austrian border and sandwiched between the spectacular, jagged limestone peaks of the Dolomites, our base offers an excellent choice of wonderful routes with the opportunity to relax in comfort at the end of a day's walking.
We venture into the Fanes-Sennes and Dolomiti di Sesto National Parks, which provide great views of the famous Tre Cime di Lavaredo. Traditionally the front line between Italy and Austria-Hungary during the First World War, our walks take us through incredible open air museums. We also visit one of the most beautiful lakes in Italy, Lago di Braies, which is surrounded by colourful Dolomite peaks.
With such breathtaking scenery and a vast number of difficult walks available as well, we offer a more challenging grade on certain departures (see Dates & Prices page).
What makes this trip responsible?
Our base for this trip, Hotel Adler, has been a family run hotel for over 2 generations. The food is sourced locally and the hotel has a herb garden, which produces all the herbs used in their traditional cuisine. They have also installed solar panels, which now supply the hotel’s hot water.
All our leaders are committed to Responsible Tourism and have received training and get additional refresher training on a regular basis so they can help you reduce you impact and maximise the benefits to the local communities from your visit.
