Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Amman on the scheduled Royal Jordanian flight and transfer to our hotel in Madaba. Those on land only arrangements will meet us at the hotel in the evening.
Day 2: After breakfast we transfer by bus to Wadi Rum. Today is a short acclimatisation walk (2hr) from Disseh village to Umm el Twaggy camp, where we enjoy the dinner prepared by our Bedouin hosts and staff.
Day 3 - 5: Today we head southwest to Um Fruth rock bridge following Khor el Ajram to the Wadi Khashkhasheh and visit the inscriptions of Siq el Khazali. Camp in Wadi Khashkhasheh. (5hr).
Day 6: Heading to Laurence House and then north through Wadi Um Ishrin. We continue with the Bedouin 4x4 to Rum, before our transfer to Petra by late afternoon. (5h). Optional camel riding (please note that this activity is not covered by the insurance).
Day 7: Visit of Petra. After walking down the siq, the narrow chasm which is the only entrance to the city, we come out directly in front of El Khazneh, the Treasury. Continuing to the centre of the city, we pass the houses and tombs of the rich citizens, and the amphitheatre. A long walk beyond the centre is El Deir, the Monastery, with its superb facade topped by a huge urn. After our visit we transfer back to Amman. (Please note that this day will be unguided.)
Day 8: Transfer to airport. Land only clients will leave this morning. Fly to London.
