Magical desert trek including the stunning Rose-red city

Some of the most spectacular desert scenery in the world is found in the south of Jordan at Wadi Rum, a place of dramatic beauty which provides an ideal environment for trekking in Jordan.
Millennia of erosion have formed wonderful mountains (known as jebels) rising out of the desert sands, and we walk from the valley bottom to jebel tops over exciting terrain.
Although this is a non-technical desert trek one section will require good balance and a head for heights. Throughout the trip we will be accommpanied by local Bedouin and we shall be camping as they do, under the stars.
Our trip will finish with a day visit to the ancient rock city of Petra, a must for any visitor to Jordan.

What makes this trip responsible?
Our small group sizes ensure that we limit our impact on the places we visit. Throughout our visit we support the economy of small villages and communities that we pass through, using their smaller restaurants, traders and shops. We use local leaders that ensure that these local communities are supported by our visit and they are able to share their knowledge of the local customs and cultures. Our night in the Bedouin camp also allows us an insight into traditional bedouin way of life and cuisine, offering us a chance to learn about their culture and also support the family that run it.
