Walking and wine around Cape Town

The Western Cape has all the natural beauty required for a truly memorable holiday: mountains, oceans, wildlife and beaches.

We start our trip in Cape Town, renowned as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and we walk up Table Mountain to enjoy incredible views of the city.

Wine tasting in the world-famous wine estates of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek is a highlight and we go gentle hiking in the surrounding Du Toit Mountains.

The Cederberg Mountains offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the Cape; the area is also famous for its prehistoric rock paintings.

In the evenings there is plenty of time to relax and enjoy a good meal on the Cape Town Waterfront or in some of the great wine estates.

Day 1

Depart London.

Day 2

Arrive Cape Town; afternoon walking tour.

Day 3

Hiking in the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve; afternoon visit the penguins at Boulders Beach.

Day 4

Walk through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and hike to the top of Table Mountain.

Day 5

To the Cederberg Mountains; afternoon walk.

Day 6

Full day walking in the mountains to Wolfberg Arch.

Day 7

Morning drive to Paarl and walk in the Paarl Rock Reserve; afternoon wine tasting in Franschhoek.

Day 8

After breakfast drive up into the surrounding Du Toit Mountains to spend the morning trekking; afternoon wine tasting in Stellenbosch.

Day 9

Return to Cape Town; afternoon depart.

Day 10

Arrive London.
