Do you spend enough time with your family?

As parents, most of us charge through family life at a truly hectic pace. We commute to work, we provide a reliable taxi service, we shout a few words of encouragement from the touchline and we find ourselves constantly nagging about homework. If your schedule feels anything like mine then quality time with your children is something too often in short supply.

This was brought home to me a few weeks ago on our family adventure in Italy. As I proudly watched my son launching himself down a zip wire (for the first time!) it dawned on me just how much he and I had shared and learnt whilst away. We'd taken to kayaks, explored huge caves of stalactites, biked around medieval town walls, walked in the mountains and even gently soaked up a little bit of local history and culture. There is a very special chemistry when you fully participate in new and different activities together.

I really hope you'll join us and find some space with your tribe this year.
