Darwin at the Natural History Museum

Charles DarwinThe Natural History Museum in London has opened a brand new exhibition to celebrate the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin in 2009.

The exhibit includes short films, letters and publications that detail Darwin's life and work whilst living in London, Kent and of course during his time on the Galapágos Islands.

Learn about his voyage to the islands on the HMS Beagle and view the very specimens that first led him to his theory of natural selection and his book 'The Origin of the Species.'

Many of the exhibits have never been on display before. The exhibition runs until 19th April 2009. Visit  the Darwin Big Idea Big Exhibition website for more information.

However, to experience the magic of the Galapágos Islands you really need to visit them yourself. With Exodus holidays to the Galapágos you can walk in Darwin's footsteps, sail around the islands and enjoy the flora, fauna and marine life of this rich eco-system.
