In a new four-part series to be broadcast on ITV1 beginning 19th February, Billy Connolly travels from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland before boarding the expedition ship the Akademik Ioffe in the third episode and heading up the northwest passage inside the Arctic Circle. However, you can travel much further into the Arctic Circle and really increase your chances of close encounters with Polar bears by travelling with Exodus on the Vavilov, the sister ship to the Ioffe.
