Namibia Bird Watching Special Departure

RollerNamibia is home to 706 different species of bird including kingfishers, lilac breasted rollers, goshawks, eagles, flamingos and pelicans.

The wet season runs from December to March and is the ideal time to visit Namibia to appreciate its birdlife. The rain brings the arid Namibian landscape to life and birds from all over Africa arrive to enjoy the lush new growth and insects. The rain in Namibia tends to be short downpours in the late afternoon and should not affect your enjoyment of the trip.

The itinerary on this trip (18th December 2009) is the same as a standard departure for Namibia Lodge Adventure but the leader will have an in depth knowledge of the bird life to allow you to make the most of your sightings.
