Cuba Moment

Street in Havana decorated with paper birds

Barack Obama's US presidency began just over 100 days ago and already he's been busy meeting with Caribbean and Latin American leaders at the Summit of the Americas.

There's no question that relations between the USA and Cuba have already thawed, with Obama recently easing its long-standing embargo of the country and allowing Cuban-Americans to visit relatives in Cuba and send money home more easily. He has also implied that he is willing to begin a full dialogue with Raul Castro should he in turn be willing to release political prisoners.

So it seems that, after nearly 50 years, the foundations are once again being laid for all Americans to be able to once more visit this beautiful island.

If you want to experience the time-trapped Cuba that 50 years of Fidel and the US embargo has created, you need to visit soon!
