The Met Office have today issued a revised forecast for more unsettled weather well into the month of August.

Think back to April of this year and you’ll recall that we were promised a glorious summer here in Britain. Many of us made plans to dust off the barbecue and spend the summer in good 'old Blighty' and save a few pennies during these recession-hit times.

However, it now turns out that there was only ever a 65% chance of a good summer and they admit to having coined the phrase ‘barbecue summer’ to help journalists’ headlines!

The British Summer, it seems, happened in June. Hope you didn’t miss it!

But it’s not too late to get away and feel a little sunshine on your back. We still have availability on summer holidays to Turkey, walking holidays in Spain and Italy and cultural holidays in Croatia and Jordan.
