Chile earthquake

In light of Saturday's devastating earthquake in central Chile, we would like to confirm that no Exodus clients were in the affected area at the time. We have been in contact with our local partners to check on the status of one group who were in the Atacama Desert, and are happy to report that all group members are safe and well, although due to the closure of airports we have made some changes to their planned itinerary.

We do not envisage any changes to our Patagonian Highlights trip departing on 7 March 2010, since there have been no reports of damage to the far south of Chile and Argentina and this trip does not use any domestic flights within Chile, but we are monitoring the situation carefully should there be any new developments.

Our thoughts are with the Chilean people at this time, and we hope that they are able to rebuild their country quickly following the quake.
